A heating day ( HT ) is a day on which the measured mean outside temperature is below the heating limit . On such a day, the heating system must be switched on in order to keep the indoor temperature at the desired value. The time from the first to the last heating day of the winter season or a sequence of five heating days is called the heating period .
Various data are used as a basis for the heating limit so that the heating days are indicated:
- According to the German VDI guideline 2067 / DIN 4108 T6, the heating limit is assumed to be 15 ° C and the internal temperature to be 20 ° C; HT 20/15 is specified .
- In Austria,
- Switzerland
- and Liechtenstein, a heating limit of 12 ° C and an internal temperature of 20 ° C are used, and HT 20/12 is given .
Measurements are made according to the meteorological standard in a weather hut at a height of two meters; for building-specific measurements, the outside temperature on the shady side under the roof is also measured.
The number of degree days / degree days (GTZ / HGT), a parameter of the product of temperature units (Kelvin) and days per year ([Kd / a]), which enables a more precise estimate of the heating requirement , is calculated from the heating days .
