Climatology counts days when fog prevails as fog days . A fog day is reported when the fog definition (visibility less than one kilometer) was fulfilled at some point between midnight and midnight of a day in a horizontal sector with an angle of at least 90 degrees.
One of the most foggy places in Germany is the top of the Brocken with an average of 306 foggy days a year , which also holds the German one-year record with 330 foggy days in 1958.
