Reinhard Skandera (born June 29, 1953 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

His hometown club is TuS Buschhausen , a suburban club in Oberhausen . In A-youth he moved to SpVgg. Sterkrade 06/07 , which celebrated great success in the youth sector under the direction of Jörg Focke in West Germany in the 1970s. Skandera had a major share in reaching the district championship in 1971 in the Oberhausen / Bottrop district in the playoff against Rhenania Bottrop. Reinhard Skandera then played for five years as a center forward for SpVgg. Sterkrade 06/07 in the Association League Niederrhein and was appointed several times in the selection of the Niederrhein Football Association . In the mid-seventies he moved to Olympia Bocholt and achieved the title of Lower Rhine Champion in the 1977/78 season . As the team's top scorer with 15 goals as a midfielder, he played a key role in winning the title. However, he could not prevent the failure of Olympia Bocholt in the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga . Skandera played another season at the Olympics in the newly created Oberliga Nordrhein , but the club, under coach Dieter Danzberg, could no longer build on the successes under his predecessor Horst Döppenschmidt. At the end of the 1978/79 season Reinhard moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . Until 1981 he was a total of 28 times in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored five goals. At the beginning of the 1980/81 season he ended his football career at the age of 27 due to chronic Achilles tendon problems. Today he lived in Hessen and works as Senior Commercial Project Manager at Lurgi GmbH in Frankfurt am Main.
