Reinhold Diessner

Reinhold Diessner (born June 19, 1896 in Nieder-Einsiedl , Bohemia , † February 23, 1981 in Korneuburg ) was an Austrian iron turner and politician ( SPÖ ). Diessner was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1948 to 1949 .

Life

Diessner attended elementary and community school and then completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith. Diessner then worked in Germany, did his military service between 1915 and 1918 and subsequently worked in a shipyard. Due to his union activities, Diessner was fired and was unemployed from 1925 to 1927 and from 1931 to 1934. He was imprisoned for several months in 1934 and again found no work until 1937. After the Second World War, Diessner was Vice Mayor of Korneuburg from 1945 to 1946, but had to move to Vienna because of problems with the Soviet occupation forces. Diessner succeeded Johann Kuba on May 4, 1948, as a member of the state parliament, to which he was a member until November 5, 1949.

Reinhold-Diessner-Strasse was named after him in Korneuburg.
