The Aktiengesellschaft Enertrag ( spelling : ENERTRAG ) is an internationally active, innovative company in the field of renewable energies with headquarters in Dauerthal, Brandenburg . As an independent energy supplier from renewable sources with the core business fields of wind energy , solar and power-to-gas , Enertrag builds and operates renewable energy systems primarily in Germany, France, Poland and South Africa.

Wind turbines

In 2017, Enertrag had more than 672 own wind turbines with an annual electricity production of more than 1.45 billion kWh . Through its subsidiary Enertrag Service GmbH, Enertrag is responsible for the care and monitoring of 1120 wind turbines around the world.

In the direct marketing of electricity, Enertrag is playing a pioneering role. Enertrag directly markets the income from 178 wind turbines with a nominal output of more than 270 megawatts. In 2010, Enertrag was responsible for the operation of over 760 megawatts, which means that the direct marketing share of electricity was around 35.5%.

Hybrid power plant

With the renewable composite power plant in Prenzlau in Brandenburg, Enertrag developed and built a hybrid power plant that combines hydrogen , wind and biogas to generate electricity and thus provides energy around the clock. It was put into operation on October 25, 2011.

Dark Sky

Dark Sky (formerly Airspex) is a subsidiary of Enertrag, which supplies demand-controlled night lighting for wind turbines. This type of nightly obstacle marking is only activated when there is actually air traffic in the vicinity of the wind turbines, so that the nightly blinking of the obstacle marking is largely avoided. As of January 2017, a wind field near Langenhorn was equipped with the system. Two other regions in the Uckermark and the Holstein Marne with around 400 and 200 wind turbines, respectively, were in the retrofitting phase at that time. The Dark Sky project will go into operation before the statutory implementation deadline.
