Reinhold Kleinfeld ( Kleinfeldius ; * 1575 ; † 1628 ) was a law student in Leyden , Italy and France , from 1602 he was council secretary in Danzig . Reinhold Kleinfeld is named as tenant of Wartsch in 1640, owner of Hohenwalde. In 1619 he married Brigitta Brandes from Danzig in 1619. His sister was Elis. Small field. Other people with the name Kleinfeld are listed as town clerks and councilors.

In a dispute between the city of Elbing and the Warmian bishop, the city secretary Reinhold Kleinfeld led the delegation of Danzig in 1615 together with the mayor and the councilor. The sister cities of Danzig and Thorn supported the Elblings in the official negotiations against the proclamation of the ban of the imperial ban in the event of a dispute with the Bishop of Warmia and the Marienburg voivodes . The main point of contention was the bishop's demand for the Protestants to hand over the parish church. The sister cities of Thorn and Danzig were determined to oppose the bishop and the king by force of arms in this church dispute. At the last moment the civil war was averted in the first days of 1616 by the mission of the secretary Reinhold Kleinfeld, who managed to maintain the peace and tranquility of the country through clever negotiations with the bishop.

The Calvinist pastor Anton Praetorius listed him in 1613 (probably because of his Calvinist creed) in his list of dedications in his book Thorough Report of Magic , in which he protested against witch trials and torture .
