Reinhold Kukla

Reinhold Kukla (born May 11, 1877 in Laibach ; † November 17, 1965 in Sankt Gallen , Styria ) was an Austrian landscape and animal painter .

life and work

Kukla studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna from 1893 to 1897 , his teachers were Franz Rumpler , Eduard Peithner von Lichtenfels and Christian Griepenkerl . He then attended the master school for landscape painting in Vienna (until 1902). In 1923 he became a member of the Wiener Künstlerhaus , where in 1930 he received the honorary award (Wiener Volkspreis) of the executive committee of the Künstlerhaus. In the same year he also became a member of the cooperative of visual artists in Vienna. In 1952 Kukla was awarded the Golden Laurel of the Vienna Künstlerhaus.
