The Reinkarsee is a 1.5 hectare mountain lake in the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol . He is at 2194  m above sea level. A. in a Kar , nestled between the Molterfeldspitze ( 2248  m above sea level. A. ) in the north and the Kröndlhorn ( 2444  m above sea level. A. ) in the south. It is located in the municipality of Westendorf only around 500 meters from the border with Salzburg . It can be reached from the head of the Windau valley via the Oberkaralm in around 2½ hours of walking and is popular with visitors on the climb to the Kröndlhorn.

In the south, the Reinkarsee receives an inflow from a small lake around 50 m higher and drains in the northeast via the Windauer Ache .
