Reipitzsch

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Reipitzsch also Reibisch, Reipitz, Reibizsch, or Reybisch was the name of a family from a little widespread Merseburg ministerial family . Her ancestral estate was probably Reipisch (first mentioned in 1012, Ribzi, Rypz, Ripz, Riptsch), a former imperial estate in the Merseburg office , now part of Braunsbedra in the Geiseltal.

history

The family was first mentioned in documents in 1269 with Herboto de Ripsh milites, 1300 knights Mr. Henricus de Ripe, 1313 Heinrico de Rypcz, 1320 Dominus herboto de Ripz and 1344 Heinrich de Rypz. In 1488 the brothers Facius, Philipp and Simon held a castle fief in Querfurt . In the 16th century they also owned the Ramsin feudal and knightly estate with surrounding estates in Ockendorf near Leuna as well as Sandersdorf , Graefendorf and Zscherndorf in the Electoral Saxon office of Bitterfeld. From 1530 to 1536, the bailiff Philipp von Reibisch was the owner of Burgscheidungen Castle ; previously he had already acquired the Gößnitz manor from Duke Georg von Sachsen for 15,000 guilders in 1508. In 1545 Wolf and Apel were sitting on Gleina . The noble family died in Saxony in 1704 with Georg Wolff von Reipitzsch zu Dresden . The family that still existed in Silesia in 1705 seems to belong to this family.
