Reisfeld is a hamlet near Igersheim in the Main-Tauber district in the Franconian north-east of Baden-Württemberg .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1248 as Risefelt . In 1269 it was mentioned again as Risvelt . The place was once an accessory of the Neuhaus rule . As early as 1269, the Teutonic Order acquired the von Seinsheim on-site property with Hohenlohe approval. With the reign of Neuhaus, most of the rice field came to the Teutonic Order, which at the beginning of the 15th century bought goods and rights from the von Ehenheim and von Leuzenbronn and the Mertin from Mergentheim. At the beginning of the 19th century Reisfeld belonged to the old community of Harthausen . In 1847/48 a field chapel for the Sorrowful Mother of God was built by a private foundation.
