Bernsfelden is a district of the municipality of Igersheim in the Main-Tauber district with 233 inhabitants.

The former municipality of Bernsfelden includes the village of Bernsfelden ( ), the hamlets of Bowiesen ( ) and Hagenhof ( ), the Ziegelhütte ( ) residential area and the abandoned villages of Dächsenheim, Rötelsee, Schönbronn and possibly Tückelhauser. Bowiesen has a special feature, which as an exclave is completely separated from the rest of the municipality. It is not only separated from the main town by Bavarian territory; as a former Württemberg district, it is also enclosed by the former Baden district of Vilchband in the Wittighausen community .

Bernsfelden is on the edge of the fertile Ochsenfurt Gaus and is surrounded by forests such as the Lindach. The area is characterized by a rich fauna and flora.

Bernsfelden was first mentioned in a document in 1277. On January 1, 1972, Bernsfelden was assigned to the Igersheim community.

Parish Church of St. Francis

The neo-Gothic church of St. Franziskus from 1887 is located in Bernsfelden.

Courtyards and limestone buildings

Stately farms with buildings made of limestone characterize the place. The Bavarian border (district of Stalldorf in the municipality of Riedenheim ) extends up to about 40 meters to the eastern edge of the village.

There is a restaurant in the village. The "Golden Cross" with home-style Franconian cuisine has been run by the Mark family since 1905. In addition, the basic supply is supplemented by a traveling baker and butcher. There is also a hairdressing salon and a component manufacturer is located in the village.
