remasuri is an Austrian band of new folk music that was founded in 2005.

history

In 2005 the first album remasuri was released , a little more than a year later the second long player Gemma came out! out, on June 28th the band performed at the Echt: wien festival. In 2008 the CD Sliver Ascension followed . The band's first live CD, Hitte , was recorded in October 2011 and presented in March 2012 in the backdrop of Vienna. The fifth CD - Pinsch - was presented to a sold out house in the Stadtsaal in Vienna on October 25, 2013. In addition to their studio work, the band also performs numerous concerts - including appearances at the Gänserndorf summer scene, the Vienna City Festival, the Schrammelklang Festival, the Graz City Festival and the Murton Festival.

style

The musical style incorporates elements of the Wienerlied , blues , folk  and jazz . The texts are written entirely in the Viennese dialect  . The concerts are designed so that remasuri is a tavern in Vienna, Christoph Michalke is the humorous moderator between the songs and the other band members are regulars.
