Remigijus Ačas
Remigijus Ačas (born December 27, 1962 in Rietavas ) is a Lithuanian politician.
Life
After graduating from high school in 1981 at the 4th Kėdainiai Middle School , he graduated from 1981 to 1986 with a degree in mechanics at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija and in 2006 the master’s degree in law and administration at the Mykolo Romerio universitetas . From 1986 to 1987 he worked as an engineer in the sowkhos technical center in Lančiūnava ( Kėdainiai district ). From 1995 to 1997 he was director of the UAB “Agrorema”. In 2003 he was a consultant to Rolandas Paksas . From 2004 to 2011 and from autumn 2012 to 2016 he was a member of the Seimas . In 2011 he was the mayor of Raseiniai Rajong Municipality . From December 2016 to December 2017 he worked as the director of the administration of the Raseiniai municipality .
From 2000 to 2002 he was a member of Lietuvos liberalų sąjunga , from 2002 to 2003 deputy chairman of Liberalų Demokratieų partija (LDP), from 2003 member of Tvarka ir teisingumas and since August 2013 of LRLS .

Ačas is married. His wife is politician Vida Ačienė (* 1963). They have the son Irmantas and the daughter Eglė (wife of basketball player Jonas Valančiūnas ).
