Remigius Chmurzynski
Remigius Theodor M. Chmurzynski OP (born October 8, 1917 in Berlin ; † May 6, 2006 in Brühl ) was a German Catholic theologian.
Career
Chmurzynski entered the Dominican Order in Warburg in 1937 . In 1947 he was ordained a priest and was then from 1949 to 1969 syndic of the monastery in Walberberg. For the Albertus Magnus Academy located there , he founded a circle of friends, which he supervised scientifically and theologically. He also supported educational institutions in developing countries and Christian groups in Eastern Europe. From 1970 to 1995 Chmurzynski was hospital chaplain at the Marien Hospital in Brühl.

- August 6, 1977: Honorary doctorate from the University of Bamberg
- September 28, 1995: Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia
