René Alfons Haiden

René Alfons Haiden (born August 21, 1930 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian bank manager.

He studied political science at the University of Vienna and received his doctorate in 1953. pole. and then joined the Central Savings Bank of the Municipality of Vienna as an employee . In 1973 he became its board member, 1977 deputy general director and from 1990 to 1995 as successor to Karl Vak its general director.

In 1990 the name was changed to Zentralsparkasse und Kommerzialbank . In 1991, Zentralsparkasse was merged with Österreichische Länderbank AG and was now called Bank Austria AG . (Out of this came in 2002 after the merger with Union Bank Creditanstalt , the Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG apparent later to the Unicredit was sold.)

In addition to various other functions in the field of money, Haiden was Vice President of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce until 2005 and President of the Social Democratic Economic Association of Austria from 1994 to 2005 (which was called "Free Business Association" until 2003 and "Business Association" from 2003 to 2005).
