René Isidoro García (born April 4, 1961 in San Luis Potosí , San Luis Potosí ) is a former Mexican soccer player who mainly played in the defensive midfield and started working as a soccer coach after his active career.

García received his first professional contract with his hometown club Atlético Potosino . In 1988 he moved to the then still in the capital -based club Atlante , with whom he in the 1992/93 season Mexican soccer championship won.

In between, he played one season each on loan for Atlas Guadalajara (1989/90) and the UAT Correcaminos (1990/91). After his time at Atlante, he played for Tampico-Madero FC , Puebla FC and CF Pachuca .

Trainer

After the end of his active career, García began a coaching activity. Initially, he worked in the coaching staff of various clubs, before he was appointed head coach for the first time at his former club Atlante, where he also worked as an assistant, at the beginning of 2006 and held this position for almost the entire year 2006. He was then hired as head coach by the Jaguares de Chiapas and later worked in this capacity again at Club Atlante (2010) and at his other hometown club San Luis FC (2012).
