René Pretschner

René Pretschner (born December 30, 1962 in Wuppertal ) is a German jazz musician (piano, composition).

Live and act

Pretschner studied jazz piano in the Netherlands and the USA between 1985 and 1991 . He led a trio with the bassist Harald Heller and the drummer Jörg Hedtmann. He also worked in a duo with the pianists Gabriel Pérez and Melo Mafali. He is currently performing in solo programs. He can also be heard on albums by Wolfgang Schmidtke (Blues Variations) .

In 1989 he was a prizewinner at the international jazz festivals in Prague and Karlovy Vary.
