Renāte Lāce
Renāte Lāce (born February 18, 1943 in Riga ; † March 3, 1967 ibid.) Was a Latvian sprinter and long jumper who started for the Soviet Union .
In 1963 she won the Universiade over 100 m and took silver over 200 m .
At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, she was fourth in the 4-by-100-meter relay and reached the quarter-finals over 100 m .
In 1966 she won bronze in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest . In the long jump she was tenth, and over 100 m she was eliminated in the preliminary run.
