Renata Salecl

Renata Salecl (born January 9, 1962 in Slovenj Gradec ) is a Slovenian philosopher and sociologist .

Salecl studied at the University of Ljubljana . She is still the same place today at the Institute of Criminology at the law school, hired and, moreover, is a professor of Psychology / Psychoanalysis and Law at the School of Law of Birkbeck College of the University of London . She was visiting professor at the London School of Economics as well as in New York and Michigan. In Berlin she was a member of the Wissenschaftskolleg . She was married to the philosopher Slavoj Žižek .
