Renata Turauskienė

Renata Turauskienė (born Renata Domkutė ; born February 23, 1969 in Šiauliai ) is a Lithuanian chess player and chess trainer.

Life

Renata Domkutė-Turauskienė attended the Juventas High School in Šiauliai. As a chess trainer, for example, she trained the International Master (IM) Deimantė Cornette (* 1989) and the sisters Gabrielė Šaulytė (* 1990) and Evelina Šaulytė (* 1991), who became Lithuanian youth champions.

In Lithuanian individual championships for women Turauskienė reached several podium places: in 1988 she won in Šiauliai, second she was in 2002 in Vilnius behind Živilė Šarakauskienė and in 2003 in Panevėžys behind Dagnė Čiukšytė .

For the Lithuanian women's team, she played in the Chess Olympiads in 1992 (on the second board behind Camilla Baginskaite ) and 2002 (on top board) and the European Team Championship 2003 (on the second board behind Camilla Baginskaite), in which Lithuania of 30 participating in the European Championship teams ranked fifth occupied.

Renata Turauskienė has held the title of International Women's Champion (WIM) since 2003 . Their Elo rating is 2209 (as of January 2020). This puts her behind Viktorija Čmilytė and Deimantė Daulytė-Cornette in third place in the Lithuanian Elo ranking of women; but it is rated as inactive because it has not played a rated game since the semi-finals of the Lithuanian Open Class Individual Championship in February 2005. Her highest rating was 2280 from January to December 1992.
