Renate Angerer (born December 11, 1947 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 2003 to 2014, Angerer was the head of the 11th Vienna Simmering district .

education and profession

Angerer attended the florists' vocational school between 1961 and 1963 and completed her training with the final apprenticeship examination. From 1975 she worked as a freelance florist and mainly worked in apprenticeship training . In 1996 Angerer was elected deputy guild master of the florists, she was also appointed chairwoman of the Free Trade Association (FWV) of the Simmering district organization and on the advisory board of the credit association of Bank Austria. In 1999, Angerer was also elected to the FWV's state board member and took on the role of deputy chairman of the FWV's conference. Angerer was elected master of the florists' guild in 2000.

Angerer joined the SPÖ in 1961 and has been a member of the Free Business Association Simmering since 1975. She was elected to the Florists' Guild Committee in 1980 and became the Chair of the Apprentice Examination Committee in 1985. In 1995 she became a member of the federal guild and in 1996 a district councilor in Simmering. In 2001, she took over the office of deputy district head before she took up the post of district head on August 22, 2003. At the end of November 2014 she retired and handed over the district chairmanship to Eva-Maria Hatzl .
