Renate Damm (* 1935 ) is a German lawyer . From 1967, Damm was head of the legal department at Axel Springer Verlag until she moved to Redeker Schön Dahs & Sellner in 1996 .

From 1983 to 1989 she was chairwoman of the German Association of Women Lawyers , from 1987 to 1989 deputy head of the FDP Hamburg . In 2000 she founded the law firm Damm & Mann in Hamburg , where she works with a focus on press, labor, contract and copyright law.

Damm has a son and is second married to the journalist Hans Ilgmoser .
