Renate Haidinger

Renate Haidinger (born August 25, 1958 in Berlin ) is a German medical journalist and patient rights advocate. She is the founding chairwoman of the Breast Cancer Association Germany

Life

Renate Haidinger studied art history, Italian and English. She is a trained art auctioneer and business interpreter.

Her father Michael Marszalek was a German cameraman and son of the conductor and composer Franz Marszalek .

After completing her studies, Haidinger moved to Munich. She has been working as a journalist with a focus on psychology since 1987 and since her own breast cancer in 2000 with a focus on breast cancer.

She has two grown sons and lives in the southeast of Munich.

After her own illness in 2000 and several operations and chemotherapy , Renate Haidinger founded the regional association brustkrebs-muenchen eV in 2001 and two years later the organization Breast Cancer Germany eV

In her honorary role as the first chairwoman of Breast Cancer Germany eV, she looks after and advises patients, trains specialist staff and promotes public awareness. The focus of your trade is on educating and removing taboos on the topic of breast cancer.

She is active as a speaker and regularly gives lectures and workshops.
