Michael Marszalek

Michael Marszalek (born March 4, 1930 , † September 5, 2014 in Neubiberg near Munich) was a German cameraman and music producer .

The son of the conductor and composer Franz Marszalek trained as a photographer and was involved in several films as a still photographer . Among them were 1957 Different than you and me and 1960 the Edgar Wallace film The Avenger .

Marszalek worked as a cameraman from 1961, primarily as a television cameraman. He was behind the camera in many episodes of well-known TV series such as Tatort , Drei Damen vom Grill , Detective Agency Roth and Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten . In film, it was used repeatedly in some of the educational and report films popular at the time . Marszalek later also worked as a music producer and maintained his own label under the name MARUS.

Marszalek had a son and a daughter with his wife Anselma. His daughter Renate Haidinger is the founder and chairwoman of the Breast Cancer Association Germany eV Michael Marszalek died in autumn 2014 as a result of a series of strokes in the spring of the same year. He was buried with the family.
