Renate Loidolt , (born September 9, 1950 in Neunkirchen, Lower Austria ) is an Austrian dramaturge and cultural manager .

Live and act

Renate Loidolt grew up on the farm of her parents Franz and Katharina Stepwieser in Prein an der Rax . After graduating from high school (1969 at the Bundesgymnasium für Mädchen und Frauenoberschule Wiener Neustadt ) she studied economics at the University of Vienna and graduated in 1973 with the title Magister (Mag. Rer.soc.oec.).

In 1971 she married Peter Loidolt , in 1973 and 1980 their daughters Melanie and Sophie were born. At first the family lived in Mödling , since 1979 their residence has been the house and studio in Reichenau an der Rax .

After experience in international cultural management (organization of exhibitions and sale of Peter Loidolt's pictures), Renate Loidolt founded the Reichenau Festival together with her husband . Renate Loidolt is the sole managing director of Festspiele Reichenau GesmbH and works as a dramaturge and producer of in-house theater productions. Since it was founded by chairman Peter Loidolt in 1981, she has been the general secretary of the Reichenau cultural association .

She and her husband were awarded the Marietta and Friedrich Torberg Medal by the Israelite Cultural Community of Vienna for their special merits in promoting the works of Jewish authors, some of whom have been forgotten, and for their commitment to anti-Semitism .
