Renate Skoda-Turk

Renate Skoda-Türk (born February 16, 1952 in Vienna ) is an Austrian ENT doctor and university professor. Since September 1988 she has been the head of the ENT department in the Social Medical Center East - Donauspital .

Life

Renate Türk graduated from high school in 1970 and then completed a medical degree at the Medical Faculty of the University of Vienna , where she received her doctorate in 1975. As a result, she trained as a specialist at the I. ENT University Clinic in Vienna and in 1982 she was appointed specialist in ear, nose and throat diseases and was appointed senior physician .

From 1981 to 1987 she was the senior physician in charge of the bed, from 1987 to 1990 the senior physician in charge of the operating theater and from 1990 to 1992 she was in charge of the audiological department. In 1987 she completed her habilitation. International study visits followed in Germany, Switzerland, Denmark and the USA. In 1988 she was appointed head of the ENT department in the Donauspital, since 1992 she has been primary at the Social Medical Center East - Donauspital and in 1993 she was appointed associate professor.

In 1989 she graduated as an academic hospital manager. In 1997 she trained as a quality manager in health care and as a quality systems manager. In 2003 she received the Master of Advanced Studies in Health Management. In addition, she has a medical chamber diploma in manual and neural therapy and training in osteopathy , acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine .

Her scientific focus is on ear surgery, salivary gland surgery, neck surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, hearing disorders in children and adults, audiology, hearing aid care as well as holistic diagnostics and therapy. She has published over 100 scientific papers in international journals and she is a member of international audiological working groups and commissions and teaches at universities, academies and technical colleges in Germany and abroad.
