Renate Urne (born June 11, 1982 ) is a former Norwegian handball player .

Urne began playing handball at Erdal IL and then moved to Tertnes IL , to whom she remained loyal until she was 18. She then joined IL Bjørnar , who played in the 1st Division, the second highest Norwegian league. With Bjørnar, the right-hander rose to the elite series in 2002. In the summer of 2005 she returned to Tertnes IL. After urn took third place in the Norwegian championship with Tertnes in 2006 and 2007, she moved to the German Bundesliga club HC Leipzig . Urne won the German championship with the HCL in 2009 and 2010 , the DHB Cup in 2008 and the DHB Supercup in 2008 . After the 2010/11 season, Urne ended her career.

Renate Urne completed 20 games for the Norwegian national handball team , in which she scored 15 goals. With the Norwegian selection, the urn won 3rd place at the 2009 World Cup .
