Renato Polselli

Renato Polselli (born February 26, 1922 in Arce ; † October 1, 2006 ) was an Italian screenwriter and director .

Life

Polselli, a graduate in philosophy , started melodramas on the film scene in the 1950s. He then shot documentaries and short films for Edera Film , before writing, producing and directing films in personal union from the middle of the following decade. These were mostly exploitation goods that often came into conflict with censorship and film criticism. Many of his films suffered from poor distribution policies and were rarely shown.

Polselli also worked as a writer and theater director. His pseudonym was Ralph Brown .
