Renault Traffic Future Award

The Renault Traffic Future Award , known as the Renault Traffic Design Award until 2006 , is an award for structures in the field of transport . It has been awarded by Renault since 2000 and is currently the only architecture award in Germany for traffic structures. The Federal Chamber of Architects is a cooperation partner, the Federal Minister for Transport, Building and Urban Development acts as patron . Since 2008, the award has been made every two years. In addition, buildings in Switzerland and Austria can now also be awarded.

Typical construction projects that are eligible for the price are, for example, bridges , tunnels , train stations or parking garages . Functionality, design and, since 2007, sustainability through the use of regenerative energy sources , the use of non-toxic building materials and the consideration of social compatibility are evaluated as criteria for the selection . Members of the jury are architects from the private sector and the academic sector, journalists and employees of public institutions in the construction sector .
