Rendawa Shönnu Lodrö ( Tibetan རེད་ མདའ་ བ་ གཞོན་ནུ་ བློ་ གྲོས ། Wylie red mda 'ba gzhon nu blo gros ; * 1349 ; † 1412 ) was an important author and lama of the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism and a teacher the founder of the Gelug order Tsongkhapa , the Gyeltshab Dharma Rinchen and the Khedrub Geleg Pelsang . Rendawa Shönnu Lodrö made a decisive contribution to the understanding of Chandrakirti's interpretation of Nagarjuna's philosophical views and to the spread of the Madhyamaka philosophy in Buddhism in Tibet .
