Khedrub Je Geleg Pelsang ( Tib . : mkhas grub rje dge legs dpal bzang ; * 1385 ; † 1438 ) was the 3rd Ganden Thripa of the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism . He was also posthumously referred to as the 1st Penchen Lama .

In addition to the 2nd Ganden Thripa Dharma Rinchen (1364–1431) and the 1st Dalai Lama Gendün Drub (1391–1474), he was one of the most important students of Tsongkhapa . With the support of Prince von Gyantse Rabten Künsang Phag (1389–1442), Khedrub Geleg Pelsang participated in the establishment of the Pelkhor monastery in 1428 (Tib .: dpal 'khor chos sde ). In 1431 he was elected Ganden Thripa and held this office until 1438. His younger brother Chökyi Gyeltshen (1402–1473) was 1463 6th Ganden Thripa.

The collected works (Tib .: gsung 'bum ) Khedrub Geleg Pelsang comprise 12 volumes.
