Artur Sobiech (born June 12, 1990 in Ruda Śląska ) is a Polish football player .

Career

youth

Artur Sobiech began playing football in his native town near Grunwald Ruda Śląska . In 2006, at the age of 16, he moved to the youth department of Ruch Chorzów . Here he played in the 2007/08 season in the Młoda Ekstraklasa , in which the youth teams of all first division clubs competed against each other. In 26 games he scored 16 goals and moved to the professional team the following season.

Ruch Chorzów

In two seasons at Ruch Chorzów , Sobiech completed 47 games and scored 12 goals. Ten of them in the 2009/10 season . The striker made his debut in the top Polish division on August 10, 2008 in the away game against Górnik Zabrze . Ruch coach Dušan Radolský Sobiech replaced Marcin Zając in the 90th minute . In 2009 he reached the final of the Puchar Polski , the national cup, with the team . In the final, however, the club failed because of Lech Posen . In the final encounter, Sobiech came on for Marcin Nowacki on the 55th minute , but could not avert the defeat.

Polonia Warsaw

For the 2010/11 season he was signed by Polonia Warsaw for a transfer fee of one million euros . To date, it is the highest transfer fee paid between two Polish teams. On August 6, 2010 he made his debut in the game against Górnik Zabrze when he was substituted on in the 46th minute for Daniel Gołębiewski . In Warsaw, Sobiech quickly developed into a regular player and scored a total of 9 goals in his 27 games for Polonia.

Hannover 96

There he made his debut in the 1-0 win against SpVgg Greuther Fürth on July 29, 2017, the first matchday of the 2017/18 season. Lechia Gdańsk
