The race mountain is a 164.10 m high elevation near Winterscheid in the municipality of Ruppichteroth . The mountain is surrounded by Bröl and Derenbach . On the western side knoll there is a ring wall, the race castle . Other sights include the Rennberg Cross from 1788.
