Renoul de Monteruc
Renoul de Monteruc (* around 1351 in Sadroc in France, † August 15, 1382 in Rome ) was a cardinal of the Catholic Church .
Life
The great-nephew of Pope Innocent VI. and nephew of Cardinal Pierre de Monteruc studied at the University of Montpellier , where he also obtained a doctorate in canon law . As canon of the cathedral in Tournai , he was appointed Bishop of Sisteron on January 16, 1370 . Pope Urban VI. created him on September 18, 1378 cardinal priest of Santa Pudenziana and appointed him head of the papal chancellery .
He died in Rome in 1382 and was buried in the church of Santa Pudenziana , his titular church.
