The Rent Is Too Damn High Party (also Rent is 2 Damn High Party ; German about the-rent-is-damn-again-too-high party ) is a political party from the US state of New York . The party's main thesis is that rents in New York are too high for residents. It currently has three members. The Rent Is Too Damn High Party nominated Jimmy McMillan for each of the mayoral elections in New York City in 2005 and 2009 and for the 2010 governor election . Joseph Huff was able to run for the Senate in 2010, with 17,019 votes representing 0.38% of the votes. In 2016 the founder of the Rent Is Too Damn High Party, Jimmy McMillan had to have known ended his political career, at the same time the Rent Is Too Damn High Party announced an endorsement of Donald Trump for the presidential elections in 2016 delivered.

The party gained notoriety beyond the United States when McMillan took part in the debate on the election of the governor of New York. An excerpt from this debate, in which McMillan presented his theses, was posted on YouTube and has already received more than eight million views. This was also reported in international news.
