After the student Kazuya Kinoshita was left by his girlfriend for someone else, he doesn't know what to do in his loneliness other than to hire a girlfriend via an online platform. But before the meeting takes place, he reproaches himself for the fact that it is wrong to hire a girlfriend. But then the date goes great, Chizuru Mizuhara is nice, is a beauty and is well dressed. However, when Kazuya later sees the reviews of her other customers, who also had a great time with Chizuru, he feels cheated. At first he doesn't even want to rent her again. When he does, he ends up blaming her about her job. Chizuru is angry because Kazuya is damaging her reputation. Then the student is called to his grandmother, who is in the hospital. Chizuru accompanies him to the hospital and is promptly introduced to the surprised family as a new friend. But since he can't rent her forever, Kazuya has to tell them about a breakup soon. Shortly afterwards he realizes that Chizuru goes to the same university as him, but leads a completely different, inconspicuous life there.

The series has been published by Kodansha in Shōnen Magazine since July 2017 . He brought out the chapters in 14 volumes so far. Some of these sold over 30,000 times in the first week after publication.

A German version has been published by Carlsen Manga since February 2020 . Kodansha himself publishes the series in English.
