Renzo Holzer
Renzo Holzer (born March 9, 1952 ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player and coach .
Career
Acting in the position of the left winger, Renzo Holzer played for SC Bern from 1968 to 1982 . The city of Berne, he won four times the Swiss Championships , 1974 , 1975 , 1977 and 1979 . In the 1970s he formed a successful attack formation with Roland Dellsperger and Bruno Wittwer . In total, he completed 845 NLA games in the course of his career . His jersey number 18 was banned from SC Bern.
After his career as an active player, Holzer was active as a coach and was behind the gang from 2000 to 2001 and 2006 to 2007 at the EHC Rot-Blau Bern-Bümpliz in the first division , the third highest league level.
International
For Switzerland , Holzer took part in the 1976 Winter Olympics on an international level . In the course of the tournament, he played six games for the Eisgenossen and scored two goals and three assists. Switzerland finished the tournament in eleventh place. Holzer made a total of 54 international matches for Switzerland.
