Renzo Merusi
Renzo Merusi (born November 1, 1914 in Gaiano di Collecchio , † January 29, 1996 in Rome ) was an Italian actor and film director .
Life
Merusi worked as a painter, sculptor, set designer and aerobatic pilot before he gained his first acting experience in films by Domenico Gambino in the late 1930s . His acting career extended until 1950, when he was also involved in the script for I bastardi and responsible for the production. In 1954 he directed his first film, which was followed by two more in 1960 and 1972; all of them were handcrafted, but undemanding adventure stories, which were, however, quite commercially successful.
