The term rescue service management is used today in part for management and management tasks in the rescue service . A distinction is no longer made between administrative and operational or executive and operational management and thus partially or in some places replaces the term rescue service management.

Rescue Management

Rescue Management is a part-time bachelor's degree at the Medical School Hamburg . The course lasts 9 semesters, which include a practical semester. The aim of the bachelor's degree is to qualify for managerial tasks in middle to senior management in the rescue service, fire brigades, payers or supervisory authorities. It should clearly stand out from the mainly engineering course Rescue Engineering as well as from courses with mainly medical content. In this course, particular emphasis is placed on the collaboration between different professions in the health sector.

The admission requirement is a completed training as a paramedic or paramedic .

Ambulance management

Emergency Health Services Management is a postgraduate master’s course at Danube University Krems with the aim of equipping students with scientifically sound and specialized skills. The focus is on dealing with the latest research results on the topics of emergency services , on-site operations management and the management skills required for this. In contrast to the Rescue Engineering degree program , the focus is on management and logistics.

  • Control center technology, operational control systems, geographical information systems, quality management of emergency call inquiries and caller advice, dispatching and deployment tactics.
  • Personal resource promotion of work technique and time management, negotiation technique, moderation technique, conflict management.
  • Basics of scientific work, methods of empirical social research, scientific work, biostatistics.

activity

The graduates can be employed in accordance with the target group in leadership and management positions in the ambulance service, as head of control centers, but also in the field of regulatory authorities. However, it is also conceivable to use it in the context of expert and expert activities.

European NGO Management

The course was offered by the FH Kufstein Tirol as unique and is aimed at managers of non-governmental organizations and non-profit organizations . This course is also postgraduate. The duration of the course is 4 semesters. The aim of the master’s course in "European NGO Management" is therefore to provide functionaries with leadership skills in NGOs with well-founded business and management training that is specifically tailored to the needs of NGOs.

The course has not been offered since 2010.
