Reso - Urban Art Biennale 2013

Reso , whose real name is Patrick Jungfleisch , (* 1975 in Saarbrücken ) is a German graffiti-writing artist. Until 2013 he taught as a teacher at the comprehensive school in Gersheim . From 2013 to January 2017 he taught at the extended secondary school in Schwalbach Saar. Reso began his career as a graffiti artist around 1988. Since then he has been internationally active. In addition to numerous reports and interviews in trendy magazines, Publikat Verlag published the book Straight Lines in 2004 about the collaboration with his long-term partner “ecb”.

In addition to his more than 60 works in twelve countries in the "public space", exhibitions took place in "closed rooms" in New York , Barcelona , Berlin , Hamburg and a few other cities. A television team from Saarland Radio accompanied Reso in 2011 on trips to Paris, Montreal and New York. Reso also acts as a curator of exhibitions in museums and galleries, including the "Urban Art" exhibition in the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site . Reso has been the artistic advisor to the UrbanArt Biennale in the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site since 2011 . The Biennale is one of the world's most important shows in the field of urban art .

Zimmerling & Jungfleisch Gallery, Saarbrücken

In December 2014 Reso opened the Galerie Zimmerling & Jungfleisch , a gallery for contemporary art with a programmatic focus on urban contemporary art, in Saarbrücken. In 2016 he initiated the "Artwalk" together with the Saarland Ministry of Education and Culture . This is a kind of open-air museum in the city center of the state capital Saarbrücken. The resulting wall paintings are implemented by internationally known urban art artists and result in a course that is to remain in the city permanently.
