The UN Security Council resolution 1515 was on 19th November 2003 at the 4862nd meeting of the UN Security Council unanimously adopted.

First of all, reference is made to the validity of the previous resolutions 242 (1967) , 338 (1973) and 1397 (2002) , as well as the Madrid Principles ( Declaration of Principles on Temporary Self-Government ).

Then it is demanded that all acts of violence, terrorism, provocations and destruction be stopped.

The roadmap of the Quartet for a permanent two-state solution to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is explicitly supported.

The parties are called upon to work with the Quartet to fulfill their "road map" commitments and to realize the vision of two states living in peace and security.
