The UN Security Council Resolution 1962 is a resolution that the United Nations Security Council passed unanimously on December 20, 2010 . She deals with the situation in the government crisis in Ivory Coast .
Among other things, it was decided to increase the Opération des Nations Unies en Côte d'Ivoire (ONUCI) by 500 to almost 10,000. The UN troops relocated from the Liberian UN mission UNMIL also remain in Ivory Coast. In addition, the time frame for the operation has been extended by half a year to June 30, 2011.
Resolution 1962 refers to Resolution 1528 (2004), Resolution 1609 (2005), Resolution 1880 (2009) and finally Resolution 1933 (2010) which also deal with the troop strength and time frame of ONUCI. The resolution 1609 coordinated the mission with the French forces of the Licorne in the country.
