Retarded Noise Squad is an experimental metal band from Halle (Saale) .

The band was founded in autumn 2003 by Don Karl Krawallo (vocals) and Panzergeneral Wallwitz (guitar). The original line-up was completed by Eric den Mansfelder (guitar), Grindhart (bass) and Rene "Ratte" Jauernik (drums). The first album Plastic Surgery and World Domination was released on their own shortly after the company was founded. Stylistically, the songs were largely rooted in the genre of Thrash / Death Metal , but were expanded to include progressive elements such as brass sections and the unconventional bass playing.
The line-up of the band initially remained stable, but geographical distance and professional obligations ensured that in 2007 Kai aus der Tube für Ratte took over the post behind the drums. In the years after the release of the first album, numerous concerts in and around Germany followed. a. with Misery Index , Suffocation , The Monolith Deathcult , Cephalic Carnage , Illdisposed and Knorkator .
The second album Bananas was released again independently at the end of 2011. Since Kai was unable to perform at the time of the recording, the drums were played by Darren Cesca. With Bananas a new direction was taken in terms of sound technology, which retains previous characteristics, but presents a completely new side of the band. This becomes clear, among other things, through the first-time use of female chants and the increasing presence of electronic elements and classical orchestration.
In the years 2010 to 2012, the change remained one of the few constants of the band, as Bob (guitar), Kjeld-Dan Gramøllsen (guitar) and Juliette de Sade (vocals) joined them about a year apart. Together with the two remaining founding members Don Karl Krawallo and Grindhardt as well as Kai aus der Tube, these form the current line-up of the band.
The band is currently working on the sequel to their second album.

With Plastic Surgery and World Domination, the quintet managed to get consistently positive feedback in online and print media.
In Rock Hard (April 2006) Plastic Surgery and World Domination was dubbed "one of the strongest domestic in-house productions in a long time".
Although Bananas is very different from Plastic Surgery and World Domination , the response to the second album was similarly positive. Jan Jaedike characterizes the songs in Rock Hard (September 2012) as “extremely metallic cabaret”, Bananas was also praised for originality, humor and complexity in other European countries.
