Reto Brunner

Reto F. Brunner (* 1967 in Bern ) is a Swiss creative director and curator in Germany .

biography

Reto Brunner worked during his training at the Zurich University of Art and Design (1985–1989) as a Junior Art Director at Leo Burnett . After a year at David Lock Design in London , he joined the graphics department of the German Vogue . Several years followed as Art Director of the fashion magazine, during which Brunner was also responsible for brand communication and corporate identity for Condé Nast Verlag Deutschland.

In 2001 he moved to Madame as Creative Director . At the same time he founded his own agency Brunner Bekker, with which he still looks after numerous well-known fashion and lifestyle brands, including Bogner , Aigner , De Beers , Lange & Söhne . In addition to international campaigns for Allude and Laurel, Brunner always stayed true to the design of the magazine. As Creative Director he developed and designed consumer magazines such as Amica and Tush as well as brand magazines such as Kunert , Savoir Vivre (for Globus, Switzerland), and until 2014 Ludwig for the Ludwig Beck department store . Since 2012 he has been in charge of Y , the multi-award-winning image magazine of the canton of Schwyz .

Brunner was a jury member of the Art Directors Club Of Europe Germany and 2013 curator of Photo Munich.

Awards

Brunner's work has received numerous German and international awards, including several BCP Awards (Best of Corporate Publishing), Fox, Reddot and, most recently, the German Design Award and the Econ Award in 2016 .
