Save the Fire is a German documentary film by Jasco Viefhues from 2019 about the German artist and photographer Jürgen Baldiga .

In 1993 the photographer and artist Jürgen Baldiga fights against the HI virus . At the height of the AIDS epidemic, he became a chronicler of his time. 25 years after Baldiga's death, the filmmaker Jasco Viefhues meets people from the artist's circle at the time and combines the conversations with photographs and archive material.

The film celebrated its premiere on June 30, 2019 at the Munich Film Festival . On September 1, 2019, the film was shown at the queer film festival in Berlin and Stuttgart.
