Reutlingendorf is a district of the municipality of Obermarchtal in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg . The village with almost 300 inhabitants is about one and a half kilometers south of Obermarchtal.

history

Reutlingendorf was first mentioned in a document in 790. The monastery of Sankt Gallen received extensive property that year. The lords of Reutlingendorf, presumably lower nobility , are mentioned around 1200 to 1431.

In the 15th century, a large part of the manorial rule can be traced as a monastic fief . The fiefdom was in the hands of the lords of Reutlingendorf, part of the property was sold in 1360 to the von Hornstein , who shortly afterwards also held local authority. In addition, the von Stein lords were also wealthy, some of whom inherited the von Hornstein family and, together with them, sold the village to the Obermarchtal monastery in 1419 . In 1420 the monastery of Sankt Gallen renounced its feudal rights. The monastery acquired further chert property in 1440.

1803 came through the secularization of the monastery property to the Thurn and Taxis and 1806 under Württemberg sovereignty . Reutlingendorf was subordinated to the Oberamt Zwiefalten in 1807 and came to the Oberamt Riedlingen in 1810 , which was added to the district of Ehingen in 1938 .

On April 1, 1972, the formerly independent municipality of Reutlingendorf was incorporated into the municipality of Obermarchtal.
