Revision (pressure)
In the printing industry, revision is the last check before printing. In technical terminology, the term “ good” is used to describe the print . The revision is not part of the prepress stage , it is part of printing .
During the revision, an internal print is created and the corrections made by the correctors are compared by the auditor . His to-do list includes a .:
- Check whether all corrections of the proofreading in the typesetting and in the assembly were carried out correctly
- Checking a press sheet when setting up the machine to stand
- Text-picture assignment, picture-legend assignment
- Correctness of footnotes and endnotes
- Error in the print image
- Break error
- Correctness of table of contents , imprint , running headings , pagination
and other things.

After a successful revision, the customer prints are sent.
