Revoz DD (Delniška Družba - joint stock company ) is the only remaining Slovenian company that makes cars.

history

Revoz was founded in 1988 as a joint venture between IMV and Renault . Revoz has been 100% owned by Renault since 2004.

The production of Renault models continued. The only model in 1988 was the Renault 4 , which was colloquially called Katrca in Yugoslavia . In 1993 the Clio replaced the Renault 4 as the most important model produced in Novo mesto.

The following Renault models were produced in Novo mesto from 1988:

present

In autumn 2010 Revoz started production of the Renault Wind , which ended again in June 2013.

Currently (2015) Revoz is building the two Renault models Clio II (export to North Africa) and Twingo III and, in cooperation with Daimler AG , the four-door smart vehicles ( Smart Forfour ) since September 2014 .

In April 2015, the production of the Clio II ended after 1,495,157 units. According to a ranking published in September 2010, Revoz is the third largest Slovenian company with a turnover of 1.28 billion euros and thus the eighth largest in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. In 2009, 212,680 cars were produced. Only 1.6% of sales were generated domestically, 98.4% (99.2% / 2015) through export.

The most important markets for Revoz vehicles are France (43%), Germany (approx. 25%), Italy (4%), Great Britain (4%) and the Netherlands (4%). In Slovenia only about 350 Twingos are sold per year (2015).

Production of the first electric smart and the Twingo GT is planned for the end of 2016.

As part of the project "Maribor - European Capital of Culture 2012", in which the city of Novo mesto also participated, the Association of IMV Friends organized an exhibition in Drgančevje with the (historical) vehicles built there.
