The Renault Wind is a coupé-convertible from the French car manufacturer Renault . The vehicle was first presented at the 80th Geneva Motor Show on March 2, 2010. Sales started in Europe in September 2010.

The vehicle is based on the Renault Twingo II platform and, like this one, was built in the Slovenian plant in Novo mesto . The electrically retractable hardtop folds into the trunk in 12 seconds. In contrast to the concept vehicle of the same name from 2004, the wind is a pure two-seater without a jump seat. The basic version was available for 16,900 euros when it was launched .

Production ended in June 2013.

design

The main feature of the Wind is its L-shaped, 180 ° opening hood, similar to that of the Ferrari 575 Superamerica . In this way, Renault promises an opening / closing time of 12 seconds.

Equipment variants

The Renault Wind was available in Germany in the equipment variants Dynamique and Night & Day .

In Austria, the basic Wind version was only available with the smaller engine, as an exception and the top version Gordini (corresponds to the German Night & Day version) with both engines. 4 metallic and 1 plain paintwork were offered.
