The Renault Type DM was an early passenger car model from Renault . It was also called 11 CV .

description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on January 16, 1913. The predecessor was the Renault Type CQ . The successor Renault Type ER followed in 1914 .

A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 75 mm bore and 120 mm stroke produced 11 hp from a displacement of 2121 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 37 km / h to 50 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of 300.5 cm and a track width of 134 cm, the vehicle was 421 cm long and 161.5 cm wide. The turning circle was given as 10 meters. The chassis weighed 650 kg. The choices were torpedo , sedan and roadster .

The chassis cost 6,800 francs with normal tires in 1913 , 7,175 francs with detachable tires and 6,900 francs in 1914 with detachable tires. The price of a five-seater torpedo rose from 8,200 francs in 1913 to 8,500 francs the following year.
